State of the Art Technology

Operating Microscopes
With Digital Photography

Microscopic endodontics revolutionized endodontics and has become the standard of care for specialty endodontics. It allows unprecedented visualization of treatment with the ability to document what is seen and communicate to both patients and other doctors.

Digital Radiography

Digital radiography is the latest technology used to take dental x-rays.  The technology uses an electronic sensor (instead of film) that captures and stores the digital image on a computer, just as with digital photography.  This image can be instantly viewed and digitally manipulated for more effective diagnosis  Another benefit is that digital x-rays reduce radiation 80-90% compared to the already low exposure of modern conventional x-rays.

3 D Imaging

One of the most recent technologies being incorporated in endodontics is 3D imaging, also known as "CBCT" or Cone Beam Computed Tomography. It is the same technology commonly referred to in medicine as a "CT".  It's use in endodontics however, is limited to a very small area of interest around the tooth and surrounding bone resulting in a fraction of the radiation needed for medical CT imaging. This technology has provided a giant leap forward in endodontic diagnosis.

TDO Practice Management Software

Our office uses "TDO" practice management software, TDO is the premier, endodontic practice management software that eliminates ALL paper records. It is also the only endodontic software to completely integrate all digital radiography and imaging along with contrmporaneous data collection.

Delivery Systems Designed Specifically for Endodontics

There have been many innovations in endodontic technology in the past two decades. In an effort to integrate current and ongoing innovations,ASI Medical developed delivery systems devoted solely to endodontic treatment. Their technology has become the state of the art in endodontic treatment delivery.

Digitally Controlled Rotary Instrumentation

For much of the history of dentistry, root canal procedures were performed with small stainless steel wire files that were operated by a pushing and twisting hand motion.  A revolutionary change in root canal treatment was the development of motorized rotary file systems. The technology has continued to advance with a new file designs and materials introduced yearly. The most recent instrumentation technology incorporates Nickel-Titanium alloys that allow for subtle changes in speed, torque, and type of motion.

Electronic Apex Locators

A crucial step in root canal treatment is determining precisely how long the root of the tooth is and where the nerve tissue enters the tooth.  In the past, dentists were limited to estimating this based on x-rays which often don't reflect the true anatomic location of the root canal opening.  Digital apex locators refine length determination by measuring a difference in electrical resistance between the tooth and surrounding bone and tissue.

Digital and Cloud Based Patient Education Software

"A picture is worth a thousand words" holds true more than ever in the internet age. We utilize digital imaging, 3D radiography, dedicated imaging software, and patient education cloud services to provide detailed visual explanations of your particular situation and the associated treatment options.

Electronic Monitoring of All Sedation Procedures

Many patients opt to have their treatment performed with oral sedation.  All sedation procedures are continually monitored to en
