Meet Dr. Carman
Dr. Carman received his undergraduate education at Cal Poly Pomona and his dental degree from the University of California, San Francisco. This was followed by a one-year, hospital-based general practice residency at UCLA prior to entering practice in the bay area. After five years in general practice--three of those in Vacaville--he attended the University of Pittsburgh for an additional two-year specialty program in Endodontics. Upon completing his specialty program he returned to Vacaville where he has practiced since.
His professional organization memberships include the California Dental Association, the American Association of Endodontists, the American Dental Society, and the Napa-Solano Dental Society.
Dr. Carman grew up in Southern California but made Northern California his home upon completing his dental education. He started practice in Vacaville in 1987 and found the small-town feel a perfect fit. "How many towns have an ACE hardware store down the street where you can still buy a single screw?" As a father and husband, he has been active in the community with scouting, coaching, and community volunteer work.
He stays connected to his Southern Californa roots with a passion for kiteboarding and a favorite local activity is keeping up with the family's two Vizsla dogs in the hills of Lagoon Valley.

Respecting your time (seeing you on time)
Taking the time needed to provide the highest level of care

Never forgetting there is a person attached to the tooth we are working on
The privilege of serving the public as a healthcare provider comes with an ethical obligation to put our patients' best interests above all. That obligation is met with a simple approach to practice: first and foremost, treating patients the way I want to be treated by a healthcare provider.
